Contact and Official Routes

Questions about this privately run reference can be directed through its contact channel. Questions about a real custody status, jail release, booking record, warrant, or court case belong with the government office that maintains that record.

Manitowoc County Busted Mugshots is not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, pull an official booking record, or change a court or police file. Contact the appropriate public office directly for those actions.

Manitowoc County Sheriff and Jail

For county-jail custody, a defined sheriff record request, or a jail-related question, use the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office and Jail Division. The county lists different office-hour statements for its jail page and public-records notice, so call before an in-person records visit.

The county’s online Release of Information Request form may be submitted through its page, by email to recordrequest@manitowoccountywi.gov, or by delivery to the sheriff. State the exact record and the identifiers that can help the records unit locate it.

Choose the Right Record Holder

Records are held by the office that created or maintains them. The following routes prevent a county-jail inquiry from being sent to the wrong custodian.

  • For a current county custody question, use the time-stamped prisoner PDF and WI VINE county-jail notification service.
  • For a Manitowoc County booking record or any releasable booking photo, use MCSO Records.
  • For an MPD, TRPD, or KPD incident record, contact the relevant municipal police records unit.
  • For a court case or warrant confirmation, use the Clerk Criminal Unit, issuing court, or WCCA.
  • For a person sentenced to state prison, use the Wisconsin DOC locator. Federal and immigration custody use separate BOP and ICE locators.

The home page gives the full official-source sequence. The Sheriff's Most Wanted page explains why the county’s dated warrant PDF needs a current court or agency check.

Manitowoc County Court Contacts

The Clerk Criminal Unit is a local route for criminal-court questions and the county’s dated outstanding-warrant document. Individual case settings and outcomes belong in the court record, not a sheriff roster.

For urgent danger, call 911. Crime Stoppers accepts non-emergency anonymous tips, but it is not a current warrant lookup or a means to track a person.
